It was an ‘all weather’ day at the range for the match held May 27.
There was a small turn-out – perhaps due to the rain early in the morning – but we took the opportunity to exploit the full day and the steadily improving weather to shoot a 153 round match!
The stages were as follows:
Stage 1 – All Out There (a 26 round, all steel and clays, shotgun stage)
Stage 2 – All Out There (as above, but with pistol!)
Stage 3 – Abbreviated Classifier (the new 25 round, abbreviated IDPA classifier, a standards stage)
Stage 4 – Standards 5-26-18 (an 18 round standards stage)
Stage 5 – Smells Like Teen Spite (a 17 round scenario stage incorporating a double swinging no-shoot)
Stage 6 – Can You Count (an 18 round scenario stage incorporating a swinging target)
Stage 7 – Trying to Have Launch (a 13 round scenario stage incorporating a swinging target)
Stage 8 – Not a Drop of Beer Spilled (a 10 round scenario stage, strong hand only)

We had lunch at the club house, rubbing shoulders with fellow SJRGC members who were enjoying National Trapshooting Day.
Thanks to everyone for their help with running the match, and with setting up and tearing down stages.
You can expect to hear soon about setting the date for the Safety Officer course, so if you are interested in becoming a Safety Officer, you need to get the pre-test completed as soon as possible.
The next club match is scheduled for Sunday, June 10.
